This is not a New Day

I am concerned that as we wait for the new day to arrive, we are dying in the present day. I am sadden by the fact that some are singing the song of a brighter day but I see the same dark cloud over the world. If we do not look to God and change our ways, the cloud will always be over head blocking out the son.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. What a does that mean? How is this supposed to motivate me? That de not inspire me to go out into the world and do great things. Instead of moving into greatness,  I just declared myself to be a helpless, uninformed, needy, person. This is not the first da of my life,  it is the 15,250th day of my life and I need to live as though I am responsible, capable, and free.

Prayer Is Not The Last Resort!

Prayer should not be the last thing that comes to mind when we are facing life's challenges.  Often we do not remember to pray until we are lost in our trouble.  We should begin to look at prayer more like a "first responder."   When accidents occur on the road we want the most capable and prepared people to get in first and the onlookers and bystanders should be out of the way.  That is the same approach we should take with prayer.  If prayer serves as a first responder to any of life's situation we ensure that the most capable and prepared people show up to assist.  We give God first look at our situation and get His expert opinion on the status of the situation.

I am having one of those "never would have made it without you moments."  You know, those moments when you remember that everything good in your life exists because of he grace of God.  I can't help but thank God for allowing me to live a life that is abundant with his blessings.

Wife is not a four letter word.

In this culture four letter words are often the words you are not to use in polite company.  They typically represent the words you would get your mouth washed out with soap for using.  For a while now the word "wife" has been taking on this feel.  It seems some women are embarrassed to admit they are happy wives that stay at home, or that they are in a marriage where Godly leadership is sought after and embraced.  they do not always have to be the strongest, the fastest, the wisest or the most secure.  It's alright to show some venerability. With that in mind I am stating to blog about the modern wife.  Share your thoughts with me on the subject.

Sometimes it seems it's impossible to love like Christ. Navigating through the complexities of love is beyond challenging. I have resolved that if we are to love like Christ we must love not because a person is deserving of love but rather because we have the capacity to love.
